Profile

I am a 3rd year Clinical Psychology PhD student here at the University of New Mexico. I received my Bachelor’s at James Madison University, my Master’s at Wake Forest University, and started my PhD at Bowling Green State University before I transferred to New Mexico with my advisor. Through personal experience as well as the experience of those around me, I have developed an interest in studying how the legalization of sports wagering in the United States has changed the gambling landscape. I have finished my comprehensive exam and now have to start planning my dissertation!

Master's Thesis:
The Roles of Expert Power and Legitimate Power In Bullshitting Behavior (Previous University)

Research Interests
I study problematic and responsible gambling behaviors in the United States, particularly sports gambling. My specific research revolves around the role that percieved and actual sports gambling knowledge plays in problem and responsible gambling behaviors, but I am happy to research anything related to gambling.
