Health Psychology

The overarching focus of health psychology is the interaction between physical health, illness, and behavior. Faculty at UNM who are in this area conduct basic and applied research in topics such as acute and chronic pain, diabetes, sure filature on medically high risk infants, and heart disease.  In addition, the faculty have expertise in cultural diversity and health disparities, wellness and resilience, mindfulness, and advanced statistical methods.
