Student Admin Assistant

The Psychology Department is looking for a high-energy person with excellent organizational skills to work as an Administrative Assistant to the Department Administrator and Department Chiar on various duties. The following are the top four duties that will be assigned to you:
Data Entry: You will be helping with the department database entry for: schedule of classes and enrollments, teaching and course evaluations, and employee demographic information.
Social Media: You will work with the department chair to manage the department Social Media Accounts: Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. This will involve preparing photos and announcements using Canva for posting to our social media accounts.
Department Surveys: You will process department surveys through UNM Opinio interface, form stack or other programs as assigned.
Front Desk: you will also be called to cover the Department front desk and will need to cross train in this position as well as learn the duties of the AV/Copy room attendants.
Other duties may include department inventory, webpage updates, and assisting the finance staff.
Must be work-study qualified with a work-study award.
Must be a student in good academic standing, enrolled in a degree-seeking program, with a minimum of 6 credit hours (Non-Degree students are not eligible for student employment)
Experience with data entry
Experience posting and professional etiquette on social media
Experience with spreadsheets and typing correspondence
Experience producing online surveys and forms, or HTML coding
Experience with OneDrive/SharePoint
Must be able to multitask and complete projects in a timely manner.
Basic communications skills, analytic skills, and computer skills are required.
Must maintain professional attitude and appearance.
Must be self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented;
Must be able to work in a busy environment and with a diverse group of people.
Previous experience working in an office environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; Word, Access database, and Excel.
Proficient in online surveys
Proficient with Online graphics
