Minor
in psychology:
- General psychology
(PSY 105).
- + 15 additional
hours in psychology beyond general psychology.
Recognizing that the
requirements for a major are only 18 hours beyond those for a minor, some
students elect to complete a double major in psychology and their other
chosen field. The requirements for a double major are the same as those
specified above for majors. A minor is not required for students who complete
a double major.
Although an undergraduate
psychology major can be applied to many different professions and careers,
graduate study is required for anyone who would become a professional
psychologist. Graduate training provides the advanced training needed
for independent research and practice in psychology.
