Research Interests
We utilize a variety of imaging methodologies, including magnetoencephalography (MEG), electroencephalography (EEG), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) to characterize and modulate human brain dynamics. Research interests include MEG studies of cortico-subcortical networks that are engaged in attentional and memory processes in normal adults. We have an ongoing research effort on the modulation of visual attention by tDCS. In addition, we are initiating two new funded projects, one involving MEG characterization of network dynamics in adolescents with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder and a second on the elucidation of the neurophysiological basis of the therapeutic process involved in motivational interviewing for the treatment of substance abuse.

We are presently recruiting graduate students in cognitive neuroscience.
